It is easy to use a Jag BrushTM
for cables. Pierce the patch at the pointed tip, and pull the patch over the connector. Solvent can be dripped on the patch now or it could be pre-soaked before pulling it across the connector. One has the option to pull a lubed patch through the loop at the other end. After feeding a cable through the bore, connect the brush to the cable. Pull the combo through for double or triple purpose cleaning.
Our Jag BrushTM
for cables works best when used with our Triangle Patches TM
. But it may be used with square patches.
Do not use a square patch larger than recommended, or else the combo might be tighter in the bore than one wants. Below are maximum dimensions.
Caliber --> Max Square Patch (inches)
17 --> 0.75 x 0.75
20 --> 1.0 x 1.0
22/223/5.56 --> 1.25 x 1.25
243/6 --> 1.25 x 1.25
25/6.5 --> 1.5 x 1.5
270/7 --> 1.75 x 1.75
30/308/7.62 --> 2.0 x 2.0
32/8 --> 2.25 x 2.25
338 --> 2.25 x 2.25
When patches are not used at either end, our Jag BrushTM
acts as a typical single-purpose bore brush for cables.
When a patch is not used at the loop end, our Jag BrushTM
acts as a patented dual-purpose bore brush.
Utility patents are pending in the USA and in other countries.
